ABOUT ME
My name is Jack Tien-Dana and I never wanted to be anything other than a journalist. Since I became the second youngest person ever to be published by Rolling Stone Magazine in 2015, I have freelanced for Men’s Journal, InsideHook, and created exclusive digital content for Snapchat, focusing primarily on sports and the strange, exciting universe that surrounds it. In the summer of 2019, I worked at Field and Stream Magazine as part of the American Society of Magazine Editors’ internship program.
On a separate note, my personal essay “How to Breathe” was one of eight essays out of thousands of submissions to be featured in Scholastic’s Best Teen Writing of 2015 anthology. For that personal essay and my writing for Rolling Stone, I was profiled in The Writer Magazine’s feature on six writers and editors under 30 years-old in August of 2016.

MOST RECENT PROJECT
22 Questions (NBA Preview Package)
Over the course of 22 consecutive days, I wrote 22 features for InsideHook attempting to answer the single most important question facing each team present in the NBA's bubble. On average, this package's engagement time per reader was 20% higher than that of the rest of InsideHook's sports content.
